We're testing how clean trucks perform in Northern BC's demanding conditions. This project explores both hydrogen fuel cell and battery electric vehicles for commercial use, helping us understand what works – and what doesn't – in real-world operations.
THE PROJECT
For 12 months, we're testing:
REAL-WORLD TESTING
What We're Learning:
- How trucks handle different weather
- Performance with various loads
- Range and fuel efficiency
- Maintenance needs
- Operating costs
- Driver experience
Where We're Testing:
- Long-haul: Prince Rupert to Terrace
- Local: Prince Rupert area
- Various terrains and conditions
MAKING IT POSSIBLE
Infrastructure:
- On-site hydrogen production in Prince Rupert
- Electric charging stations
- Operator training
- Maintenance support
WORKING TOGETHER
Our Partners:
WHY THIS MATTERS
Our findings will help:
- Guide clean transportation policy
- Support business decisions
- Show where this technology works best
