About for the long haul
Driving Sustainable Trucking Solutions
Efficiency
driving to
a Cleaner
Future
For the Long Haul is about transforming trucking with zero and low-emission heavy duty vehicles starting at the Port of Prince Rupert and extending to other transportation corridors.
By piloting these trucks and fuelling and charging infrastructure, we're gathering vital data to show how zero and low emission trucking can be practical and beneficial while identifying what society needs to consider as part of a transition to a low carbon future.
Why Prince
Rupert?
Prince Rupert is Canada's third largest port and is a critical hub for Canadian trade and logistics, making it the perfect location for this pilot project.
The port's strategic importance means that improvements in sustainability here can have far-reaching impacts on the entire logistics sector.
Investments in hydrogen infrastructure in northern BC also enable the growth of strategic clusters that can support the transition of other industries to lower carbon options.
We're on a mission to cut greenhouse gas emissions and promote cleaner, more efficient trucking solutions.
Reduce emissions
Our zero and low-emission trucks are leading the way in reducing carbon emissions and creating a cleaner future.
Gather Data
Our charging and refueling infrastructure supports the widespread adoption of electric and alternative fuel vehicles.
